After weeks of rumors, 'Star Wars: Episode VII' finally has a director. Many directors have been in contention, but The Wrap and THR are both reporting that J.J Abrams is set to direct the film for Disney.
LucasFilms Chief Kathleen Kennedy has been courting J.J Abrams for a while. Abrams is now behind two of the biggest sci-fi franchises in movie history, and for many this will be great news.
'Star Wars: Episode VII' will be directed by J.J Abrams and Michael Ardnt is writing the screenplay.
Lawrence Kasdan and Simon Kingberg will write the screenplays for the other Star Wars films.
Let's hope Disney and Lucasfilms make an announcement soon.
