While we wait for Zack Snyder's 'Man of Steel' to arrive in theaters this summer, the director is already working on his next project. Though he won't direct Star Wars Episode VII, Vulture reports that he's developing a Star Wars movie for Lucasfilms inspired by Akira Kurosawa's 'Seven Samurai.'
The movie will be a stand-alone Star Wars film set within the series' galaxy but it's not yet known where it would fall within the Star Wars chronology.
Update: Zack Snyder's reps have released the following statement to The Hollywood Reporter:
"While he is super flattered because he is a huge fan, Zack is not involved in any way with the new Star Wars. He is currently in post on his two films, Man of Steel and 300: Battle of Artemisia."
