NBC's Executive Jennifer Salke Addresses 'Twin Peaks' Rumors

As a huge fan of David Lynch's 'Twin Peaks,' this is great news. Earlier in the week, there were some rumors around the internet that the folks at NBC wanted to revive the hit show. However, those rumors were quickly denied by original co-creator Mark Frost on his twitter account:

“Dear Internet: You are very good at spreading rumors. Truth is more valuable and much harder to come by. Sincerely yours, @mfrost11."

Today, NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke was asked about these rumors at the Television Critics Association Press Tour, and this is what she had to say:

"I called everybody when I got the email,” she said. “None of us had gotten a call about that, not from an agent, not from the writer, not the head of drama… so we’re wondering the same thing you are… ”When it came up we all looked at each other and said, ‘That’s a good idea.’ We were all kind of like, ‘Hmm, we like Twin Peaks!’ So, I’ll send some emails today, and see what I can get to come in."

She sounds excited about the prospects of a revival. Twin Peaks is one of the most influential TV shows ever, and without it we wouldn't have series like The X-Files, Lost, and Fringe.

Let's hope she gets the ball rolling soon!
